HealthSav requires a 24 notice for cancellations for all individual registrations.  Cancellations made within  24 hours are subject to forfeiture of the enrollment fee.

Transfer of a registration date to a different date can easily be done by e mailing us at healthsav.com with your current registration date along with your request for a new date.

Basic Life Support For The Healthcare Provider Instructor Course

The BLS Instructor course prepares you for teaching all BLS courses in the AHA course list.  This would include Heartsaver courses and First Aid.  

In order to take the in classroom BLS Instructor course you must have the following:

1) A current Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider card

2) completion certificate of the AHA Core Instructor course.

To obtain the Core Instructor course certification you can do this through the AHA online program.  To access the online course you must purchase the AHA workbook from ahachanning-bete.com for $25.00 using access code INST0673.  The workbook will have the AHA website you will need to access as well as your personal code to access the Core Instructor course.  Upon completion you will be able to print out a certificate which you would present at the in classroom Instructor Course.  The class is scheduled for 9 hours which includes a break for lunch.

Basic Life Support For The Healthcare Provider CPR

BLS for Healthcare Provider (BLSHCP) classes are $120 and include the AHA course manual and a 2 year certification card.    Group rates are $550 for a class of 6 at your location or ours.   A group of 12 would be $1000 and also includes the course manual and 2 year certification card.  The course can be at your location or ours.  This is a class required for EMS, lifeguards, physical therapists, most nurses & doctors and is the most in depth CPR class offered.  Use of a Bag Mask, advanced airway techniques and concentration on 2 rescuer CPR are some of the additional features of this class along with comprehensive Adult, child and infant CPR, adult, child and infant choking and full hands on practice sessions with an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).  The class is scheduled for 6 hours.  We also have a selection of masks and other CPR safety equipment which students can purchased after the course if they choose to.
 

Basic Life Support For The Healthcare Provider Online & Skills Test

The AHA Online Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider provides all the cognitive learning information that would be presented in a classroom environment into a self monitored online presentation.  The successful completion of the AHA E Learning module will comprise Part 1 of the students learning experience.  Part 2 and 3 represent the (2) practice time and (3) skills testing that the student will require in order to become certified.  The classroom portion is scheduled for 2 hours.

When you register you will automatically receive your "key code" which will then allow you to access the AHA website for your e learing experience.  The $85 cost also covers the in classroom practice and skills testing time you will need to complete your certification.  The course is scheduled for 4 hours.  The AHA course manual can be purchased for $15.00.

Basic Life Support For The Healthcare Provider CPR Renewal

BLSHCP Recertifications are $85 for renewing an expiring or expired BLSHCP certification.  You must present your Healthcare provider card or equivalent at the class in order to be able to take this renewal course.  Cards expired for more than 2 months require you to take the full course.
This is a class required for EMS, lifeguards, physical therapists, most nurses & doctors and is the most in depth CPR class offered.   The course is scheduled for 4 hours.  The AHA course manual can be purchased for $15.00.

 

Heartsaver CPR AED

Heartsaver AED classes are $85 and include the AHA course manual and a 2 year certification card.  Upon completion you will be certified in adult, child and infant CPR along with how to handle choking situations for adults, children and infants.  You will also receive full certification for using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).  Group rates are $850 for a class of up to 12 people which can be at your location if you prefer.  A class of 6 at your location or ours would be $475.  This class is great for those who want to know all there is to know about CPR, choking and the AED without some of the more technical aspects provided in the Healthcare provider course.   This class is great for those outside of the medical profession or those in the medical profession that do not require the Healthcare Provider level class.  Police, fire, teachers, personal trainers, home care aids and the general lay public are well served with the Heartsaver AED class.   The class is scheduled for 5 hours.

Host a Heartsaver AED group (minimum group size is 6 people) and be the 7th and get your certification for free!  If you have a class for 12 we will include 2 additional people (14) at no extra cost. We also have a selection of masks and other CPR safety equipment which students can purchase after the course if they choose to.

Family & Friends CPR

Family & Friends CPR is $65 and includes the course manual but no written certification is issued.  The course covers adult, child and infant CPR along with how to handle choking situations for adults, children and infants.  AED's will be discussed but not practiced with as they are in Heartsaver AED certified courses.  Group rates are $650 for a class of up to 12 people (2 additional at no extra cost) which can be at your location or ours.   No less than 6 people will be booked for a group outside of our facility at a cost of $375.00 (a 7th at no afditional cost).  This class will completely enable the student to have full understanding and capabilities of CPR for adult, children and infants as well as how to deal with choking situations for adult, children and infants.  This class is great for those that just want a basic CPR class that does not include the use of a defibrillator.  Young teens involved with babysitting are well suited for this class.  This class will run between 3 and 3.5 hours.   We also have a selection of masks and other CPR safety equipment which students can purchase after the course if they choose to.
 

Basic First Aid

CPR ANYTIME

This course will cover Hands Only CPR for an adult.  Learn the very basics for understanding of when and how to perform CPR on an adult victim who has collapsed.  HANDS ONLY CPR is a non certification course that will allow the student to gain full insight into how to handle an emergency and respond appropriately.  The course will have plenty of hands on time on a manikin for practice.  This 1 hour  course is offered FREE to mark the end of National CPR & AED Awareness week.  Class size is limited and pre registration is required.

This CPR ANYTIME Course is based on the American Heart Association CPR ANYTIME Home Training kits which are available for purchase at $65.00.  The kits (one is for adult/child CPR and one is for infant) come with an inflatable maniking and instructional DVD that runs approximately 22 minutes.

Heartsaver CPR & AED Online & Skills Test

The AHA Online Heartsaver AED CPR provides all the cognitive learning information that would be presented in a classroom environment into a self monitored online presentation.  The successful completion of the AHA E Learning module will comprise Part 1 of the students learning experience.  Part 2 and 3 represent the (2) practice time and (3) skills testing that the student will require in order to become certified.  For $65 we provide you the key code needed to access the AHA website to take Part 1 and the cost includes Parts 2 & 3.  The classroom session is part of your $65 cost and is scheduled for 2 hours.The course is scheduled for 4 hours.

Heartsaver CPR AED & First Aid

The Heartsaver CPR AED with First Aid covers the comprehensive CPR certification and First Aid given through the AHA Heartsaver curriculum and combines them into one session.  This course is for those that prefer to finish both certifications in one session as against coming at two different times.  The cost of the this dual certification is $135.00.  Each certification is through the American Heart Association and is valid for two years upon completion of the course.  A 1/2 hour meal break will be included during the day.
